LPEA and 4CORE to host Sunnyside Community Solar application event

Posted

La Plata Electric Association (LPEA) and the Four Corners Office for Resource Efficiency (4CORE) are announcing an upcoming application event for the Sunnyside Community Solar program.

This new subscription program allows LPEA members to subscribe to locally generated solar energy without installing panels on their homes.

Members can access clean energy from a shared solar array and receive credits on their electric bills.

The program has two parts: one for income-qualified members, and another open to all residential and commercial LPEA members.

Whether interested in applying or seeking information, the event will offer comprehensive support.

The event will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Aug. 6 at the Ruby M. Sisson Memorial Library, 811 San Juan St.

The open house format allows attendees to visit anytime between 4 and 6 p.m. Paper applications will be available for general membership and income-qualified applicants.

On-site assistance, including document-copying services, will be provided by knowledgeable LPEA and 4CORE staff.

Applications for the Sunnyside Community Solar program will be accepted until Aug. 29. This event provides an ideal opportunity to engage with program details, receive application assistance and ensure a streamlined process.

Attendees are encouraged to mark their calendars, prepare questions and bring necessary documentation for a smooth application experience. For more information, visit lpea.coop/sunnyside.
