On Oct. 5, the spotlight will come up and multiple models will sashay to raise funds for Rise Above Violence at the second annual Runway for Rise.

The Sisterhood of Steel team has every intention of raising the most money for Rise and taking home the coveted 2024 Pagosa Prada Award.

“Through our participation with Runway for Rise, we hope to help women in our community harness their strength, courage and independence to create better lives for themselves and for future generations,” the team states.

This unique event promises to be even better than last year. With audience awards, a wine pull, an accessory auction and over-the-top recycled outfits, the night will be jam-packed with fun.

A successful fundraiser requires a host of sponsors to help cover expenses. The generosity of businesses and individuals allows all the proceeds from ticket sales and cash voting to go directly to program support.

Rise is one of the oldest and most respected nonprofits in Pagosa Springs. In 2023, Rise Above Violence served 351 victims, had 2,694 client interactions, provided 7,372 services and answered 812 Hotline calls.

Tickets will go on sale Aug. 26, and you won’t want to miss this gala.
