Jeffrey (L.J.) Lee Moore II

Posted

Jeffrey (L.J.) Lee Moore II was born in Fulda, Germany, on July 30, 1990, to Renee Ann Moore and Jeffrey Lee Moore.  He lived his early childhood in Las Vegas and, in 1997, Jeff moved to Pagosa Springs, Colo., with his father.

Jeff is remembered for his boundless heart bursting with love, his quick-to-chuckle demeanor and his warm, welcoming smile.  He had an extraordinary gift for identifying and connecting with people who needed it, making them feel seen and valued.  Jeff had an energy that turned the simplest of moments into authentic memories.

Brooklynn, his daughter, was the light of his life. Brooklynn’s spirit overwhelmed him with joy, and his love for her was unwavering.  His pride in every moment they shared was palpable. Brooklynn will continue to be his greatest achievement, and she will always shine bright, carrying LJ with her. Carlee, Brooklynn’s mother, shared a special connection with Jeff as co-parents. They nurtured a loving environment for their daughter, grounded in care and mutual respect.

Jeff was a devout brother to his sister, Krystal Moore, who adored him dearly, and his brother Stephen, who entered his life later but quickly became an integral part of his life.  Jeff and Krystal spent numerous years apart but never let the distance between them weaken their bond as brother and sister.  Jeff often spoke of the pride he felt when thinking of Krystal and the woman she has become.

L.J. was the love of his father, Jeff’s, life.  Jeff admired his son for his resilience, intelligence and genuinely kind heart. They shared a mutual understanding and respect that went beyond words.

Jeff was blessed to have the support of Joshua and Kimberly Butler throughout his life.  They provided Jeff with unconditional love, mentorship, but most importantly, shared their knowledge and love for Christ.

Jeff’s passing is a reminder of the struggles many face in silence.  His life, though short, will be remembered for the kindness, love and light that he brought to those who knew him.  In his memory, we ask that you reach out to those you love and hold them close.

Jeff is lovingly remembered by those he leaves behind, having been preceded in death by his beloved mother, Renee. He is survived by his devoted father, Jeff; his larger-than-life stepmother, Angela; his cherished daughter, Brooklynn; his loving sister, Krystal; his brother, Stephen; “Uncle Mark” McGowan; the Butler family, who were like his own; and countless friends who will forever miss his presence.

We will miss and yearn for you forever.
