It’s time to mark your calendars for Runway for Rise, A Recycled Fashion Gala, to be held Oct. 5 at the Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts.
This fundraiser for Rise Above Violence is based around teams using imagination rather than cash to create outfits from recycled and natural elements.
On Oct. 5 they will model their creations while the crowd goes wild voting for their favorite couture.
We’re delighted to welcome the Forged in Power team to this event. The team members are “determined to empower women with strength and resilience to push back against the darkness of domestic violence.”
Their commitment to the mission of Rise Above Violence makes their participation for the first time even more exciting. We look forward to applauding them on the runway.
All donations raised through this unique event are tax-deductible and support domestic violence services that are provided free and confidentially through Rise Above Violence. Your help promotes the belief that all people have the absolute right to live free from violence.
