The Pagosa Peak Genealogical Society will hold its next monthly meeting on Saturday, Aug. 10.
The meeting will be held at the Community United Methodist Church at 434 Lewis St. and will begin at 10 a.m.
We will begin with a short business meeting where you can learn about the upcoming activities of our society and the topics of future programs.
Following the business meeting, the program will be a video by Matt Baker entitled “I Took 5 DNA Tests and Compared Them/Which One Should You Take?”
Baker compares each according to price, method of obtaining the sample, whether they emphasize medical or genealogical information, and what the results you receive look like for each one.
He also gives a brief explanation of the different kinds of DNA.
This will be an in-person meeting only, so please come join us as we explore this fascinating aspect of genealogical research.
