Justin Clay Dermody passed away on Jan. 10, 2024, after a sudden fight with cancer, diagnosed just in December. Those who knew him admired his knowledge, integrity and strength and appreciated his humor, sarcasm and ingenious linguistics. He was passionate about creativity, family, work, mechanics, freedom, diversity, animals, nature, the Raiders and travel. This amazing Marine leaves behind a devastated family: wife Chesika; sons Ryder, Craig and Jonathan; sister Kelsey and her children; and his loyal pets and numerous extended family. Derm was born to Jerry and Kerry Dermody, of Pagosa Springs, Colo., on May 5, 1972. He grew up on the beautiful upper Piedra and, in addition to his hometown crew, he has a family from each phase and adventure of his life: CSU, USMC, USS Tarawa, WyoTech, Radio Shacks in southern Colorado, Belize, the mountains and seas of Southern California, and, for the last seven years, Alabama.  His most recent amazing work family, SONS Automotive, would appreciate your consideration of donating to their Benefit Jeep Show on Jan. 20, 2024, to help his family with expenses: CASHAPP $Jeepin4Derm. Until we meet again, Semper Fi.
