Area law enforcement officials are on the lookout for a woman who escaped Hilltop House, a community corrections facility in Durango, on March 21.

According to a Notice of Escape from Hilltop House, Terri Lisa Thayn, 36, failed to return to Hilltop House from an approved pass to search for work.

It is believed Thayn may be in the Pagosa Springs area, where she has family, Hilltop House Director John Schmier indicated in an email to The SUN.

Thayn is a Caucasian female described as being 5-foot-4 and 120 pounds with red hair and brown eyes. She has a rose tattoo on her left shoulder and "LOCO" tattooed on the left side of her neck, the notice states.

Thayn was serving an 18-month sentence for distribution of a controlled substance schedule 1/2.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Thayn is asked to contact local law enforcement. Archuleta County Combined Dispatch can be reached by calling 731-2160 or 911.
