Tickets selling fast for Runway for Rise

Posted

A few tickets are still left for the Oct. 5 Runway for Rise fundraiser benefiting Rise Above Violence.

A waitlist will be available for sign-up to fill last-minute cancellations.

Can’t attend in person? You can still have a huge impact by voting for your favorite teams online. Your dollars will move teams closer to winning the Pagosa Prada Award while providing critical support for domestic violence survivors.

Just go to riseaboveviolence.org to snag those remaining tickets and vote with your dollars for as many teams as you like.

Donna Muir, returning from a team last year, and her teammates of Under the Sea understand firsthand the value of Rise Above Violence programs.

They have said, “Recently, someone close to us was helped by Rise. We were amazed by all the kindness, resources and other ways Rise helped. Runway for Rise is a great, fun way to get involved, give back to the organization and bring awareness to our community of all they do.”

This team hopes to raise the most money and be awarded the Pagosa Prada Award for 2024.

Each member of the winning team will receive a stunning one-of-a-kind, handmade leather bag created by Lvonne Wilson. Even with her successful leather business and participation as a committee member for this event, she has taken time to produce a beautiful award that winning team members will be proud to take home.

Generous sponsors have covered the costs of this event. Your dollars will be used to help survivors of domestic and sexual violence seeking criminal or civil legal assistance. The legal system can be overwhelming and confusing. Rise helps navigate these systems so survivors better understand the processes that can improve their and their children’s safety. From protection order assistance to legal representation, Rise advocates can help, and your donations make that possible.

Join us in this effort. Each vote is $1 but for fun we have hidden the donations for each team on the website. Rest assured the competition is fierce and teams are all very close. Dollars raised the night of the event will complete the team totals and the big reveal of the winner will be done at the end of the night. Have a favorite team or teams? You better go vote for them right now at riseaboveviolence.org.
