Residents and visitors take to the San Juan River to cool off during the week’s record-breaking heat. According to the National Weather Service (NWS), Pagosa Springs hit a high of 94 degrees on Monday, July 17, breaking the record of 91 set in 1910. Temps reached 91 Tuesday, just shy of the record of 92 set in 1909. The NWS indicated there is a chance of breaking the record again on Thursday, July 20, with the forecast high being 92 and the record being 94.
