Pumpkin parties to offer Bible lessons, music and fall fun for local children

Children in the community are invited to celebrate the fall season with two upcoming pumpkin parties featuring Bible lessons, singing, pumpkin-themed games and snacks.

These events will offer children opportunities to enjoy fellowship, have fun and learn about God’s word.

Organizers emphasize all leaders have been trained and screened for children’s safety.

The first event sponsored by Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) will be held Friday, Oct. 16, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at Centerpoint Church in the Fellowship Hall. The party is open to all students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Children will enjoy a lesson and singing centered on “The Gospel Pumpkin,” along with pumpkin-themed games and snacks.

With parent permission, a screened CEF volunteer will be available to walk children from PPOS to Centerpoint Church. Parents and families with questions or who want to register their children may contact Leigh at (970) 903-8091.

A second pumpkin party is planned for Sunday, Nov. 1, from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at Pagosa Bible Church. This event is open to children ages 4 through fifth grade and will also feature “The Gospel Pumpkin” lesson, singing, pumpkin-themed games and snacks. Parents are warmly welcome to join their children in the sanctuary for a hope-filled message from God’s word, although their participation is not required if they register their children in advance or at drop-off.

Questions may be directed to lindy@pagosabiblechurch.org.

Both events are designed to combine seasonal fun with meaningful opportunities for children to hear a Bible message and enjoy time together in a welcoming environment.

Pagosa Springs Elementary School students are encouraged to attend CEF’s regular Good News Club Friday at 1:15 p.m. in the school library. If you have questions or to register, contact Melanie at (405) 639-8053.
