The San Juan National Forest, Pagosa Ranger District, is seeking submissions from interested parties to provide high-quality public services in the operation and maintenance of three government-owned recreational cabins. These are the Monument Park Cabin, the Hotz Springs Cabin, and the Turkey Springs Cabin. An online version of this announcement which includes a map of the cabins can be found at: https://www.fs.usda.gov/goto/sanjuan/RFEI_PagosaCabins.
The cabins will require varying degrees of repair, upgrade, and maintenance prior to being made available to the public for commercial rental. Respondents are encouraged to reply in writing expressing general interest, technical qualifications, and financial capability in order for the Forest to determine whether sufficient competitive interest exists for the proposed services.
This solicitation is a Request for Expressed Interest (RFEI) and is not a formal offering for the award of a special use permit or for participation in future solicitations.
This RFEI will be used to determine:
Competitive interest for the proposed services
Submissions received from the RFEI may demonstrate a need to issue a prospectus soliciting applications to operate the facilities. Submissions may also help shape the prospectus and/or provide insight for future management.
Questions regarding this RFEI may be directed to Paul Blackman through August 8, 2024 by email to paul.blackman@usda.gov.
Letters of interest must be received by close of business on August 22, 2024 and may be dropped off at the Pagosa Ranger District office, mailed by US Postal Service to PO Box 310 Pagosa Springs CO 81147, or emailed to paul.blackman@usda.gov.
