Pagosa Valor Academy (PVA) is throwing a barn bash. Put on your cowboy hat and join us on Sept. 5 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the Archuleta County Extension building for a night of good food, music and dancing.
The evening will include a dance floor with music by country band Silverado (featuring Stetson and Cia Adkisson, Dusty Bauer, Caleb Forrest and Chad Hamilton) playing country hits from the ‘90’s, barbecue and a silent auction.
This western-themed night is the perfect time to pull out your fancy boots and enjoy some down-home entertainment.
PVA is a private Christian school in Pagosa Springs. The idea of starting a biblically based school using the National Association of University Model Schools (NAUMS) Model started in the summer of 2013. After much prayer and inspiration from God, a board was formed and requirements to open the school were all met. PVA opened its doors on Sept. 6, 2014, to kindergarten through sixth grade with three teachers and one head administrator. The following year, 2015-2016, we almost doubled our student base and expanded our grades to kindergarten through eighth grade.
We currently have more than 100 students, offer classes for kindergarten through 12th grade, and are certified through UMSI and accredited by Cognia.
With an emphasis on faith and academic excellence, the school partners with parents to help equip students academically, spiritually and physically to become tomorrow’s servant leaders. Proceeds from the event will help fund the 2026-2027 school year.
Individual tickets and full tables can be purchased at https://givebutter.com/c/bolos-and-boots or in person downtown at Higher Altitude Pagosa.
Tickets are $50 and include dinner, dancing and a silent auction. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase on-site.
