San Juan Basin Health is providing a free informational presentation for residents who would like to know more about how to obtain health insurance under the Affordable Care Act, known as Obamacare, and how to apply for help with paying for it.

This presentation will be at the Durango Public Library on Feb. 3 at 6 p.m. There will be a brief presentation followed by a question and answer session. No reservation is needed.

The deadline for applying for health insurance is rapidly approaching. After Feb. 15, Coloradans will no longer be able to enroll in health insurance through Connect for Health Colorado or to apply for federal tax credits to help pay for their insurance. Anyone who pays for their own health insurance, or who does not have insurance and is not eligible for insurance coverage through an employer or other source, can use Connect for Health Colorado to shop for health insurance.

For more information, call Kevin O’Connor in the Durango office at 335-2021 or Renee Burch in the Pagosa Springs office at 264-2409, ext. 203.
