“Rico” Richard Dale McMaster entered into this world Nov. 28, 1989. His life ended the same way he had lived it — on his terms, Nov. 26, 2013.
He moved to Pagosa Springs, Colo., From Show Low, Ariz., about five years ago. He worked at Sonic, Conoco West and, finally, at Piedra Automotive.
Rico had a heart of gold for his family and friends. He was honest, loving and loyal to those he trusted. He was often described as having an old soul and had a talent for the written word. He was a devoted brother, a cherished son, a grandson to be proud of and greatly missed.
He is survived by his mother and “dad” David (Jr) Keller and Martha (Marti) Keller of Pagosa Springs, grandparents Chuck and Maggie McMaster of White Mountain Lake, Ariz., and Vickey Kane of Pagosa Springs; eldest sister Tanquerae Hoffbaur of Cederedge, Colo.; brother and best friend Shawn Martindale of Pagosa Springs; youngest sister Amanda Keller of Heber, Ariz.; baby brother Jacob Keller of Pagosa Springs, as well as brothers-in-law Steven Hoffbaur and Nial Porreca, and countless aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A drop-by memorial will be held Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Pagosa Springs Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to help cover the final expenses. However, if you simply want to pay your final respects, please come to the memorial. All friends are welcome.
