Patricia (Patty) Ann Nelson went to be with her Lord on Jan. 25.Patty was born to Robert and Pat Chapin on May 11, 1937, in San Francisco.
She attended San Mateo High School and the College of San Mateo. She then married the love of her life, James Calvin (Zach) Nelson on Sept. 13, 1959. Her son Jeffry Scott Nelson was born on July 7, 1960. Patty retired from Western States Arts Federation in September of 1996 and thereafter enjoyed her hobbies including making stuffed bears with knitted clothing, candles, painting and playing the piano. She found great joy in maintaining a loving home for herself and Zach. Patty is best remembered as a woman who lived a life that exemplified the love of Christ in all she did. She leaves behind her husband Zach, son Jeff (Stacy) and three grandchildren.
There will be a Celebration of Patty’s Life on Sunday, March 9, from 6-8:30 p.m. at Restoration Fellowship, 264 Village Drive. Join us for fellowship, remembrance, light food and music. Please consider Albuquerque Hospice in lieu of flowers.
