Middle school science fair winners announced

Sixth- through eighth-grade students of Pagosa Springs Middle School showcase their science prowess during the annual science fair held Wednesday, Jan. 21. The first-place award went to eighth-grader Nate Lewis for his project entitled “HydroFlow,” which entailed analysis of variable water flow over a paddle wheel with the underlying premise of optimizing the generation of electricity.[/caption]

Sixth- through eighth-grade students of Pagosa Springs Middle School showcased their science prowess in the annual science fair held Wednesday, Jan. 21. The fair represented the culmination of nine months of effort put forth by students in their science fair elective courses during the last academic quarter.
