Special to The PREVIEW

You have just a few days to come up with your dazzling duds for the “Jewels and Jeans” Barn Dance.

This is going to be a legit barn dance with real country-western dancing music played by a real country-western band, Country Thunder.

The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the music will start at 7 on Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Archuleta County Extension building located at the fairgrounds on U.S. 84.

Lip-smacking barbecue will be available for sale and there’ll be a cash bar if you’d like beer, wine or mixed drinks.

Tickets are $10 when purchased in advance at Old West Press or from any Rotary Club member. At the door, tickets will be $15.

The barn dance is sponsored by the Pagosa Springs Rotary Club to help support the club’s many community projects — youth scholarships, Feed Our Children backpack program, teacher mini-grants, Loaves and Fishes free lunch program and many other outreach projects.

It’s a guaranteed good time. Plus, you’ll be helping to support some of the most important grassroots programs that serve our community.

Make it a point to be there.
