The ducks are ready to hit the water.

The Knights of Columbus Council #7560 is having its 21st Annual Duck Race in Town Park on Aug. 24 beginning at noon.

Every year plastic ducks can be purchased for a chance to win the race and the first prize.

There are five opportunities to win, and all prizes are cash. The first-place cash prize is $1,500, second is $750 and third place is $500. There are also two opportunities for two randomly drawn ducks to win cash prizes of $125.

Tickets are only $10. Buy some ducks, win some bucks.

The day will start at noon on Saturday, Aug. 24, with music by the Retro Cats; a food court with burgers, hot dogs, chips and drinks; a beer garden; prize drawings; and games. The ducks will hit the water and the race will begin at 3 p.m. You will not want to miss it, but you need not be present to win.

Tickets are available at Pope John Paul II Catholic Church at 353 S. Pagosa Blvd., Silver Dollar Liquor and at the park on race day.

Come out for an exciting day of food, fun and fellowship and get in on the action. Purchase tickets and your lucky duck just might add some extra cash to your wallet.
