
Enrollment is now open for the 14th annual Patty Aragon Green Chile Classic. The cook-off is part of the Mountain Chile Cha Cha, which is set for Sept. 24.

Notice to all green chile aficionados: Enrollment is open for the 14th annual Patty Aragon Green Chile Classic.
The annual green chile cook-off heats up Pagosa Springs and is where chefs of all abilities and backgrounds compete for cash, trophies and bragging rights.
The cost for home cooks to enter is $15. Winners in the meat, vegetarian and overall people’s choice categories will receive $200 each and trophies, while second and third place winners receive medals and bragging rights. Registration is first-come, first-served and space is limited. Don’t miss your chance to participate in this event.
Commercial entrants pay $35 and first place will land them a special award. Commercial entries are also eligible for the people’s choice award of $200 for first place and medals for second and third place.
The Patty Aragon Green Chile Classic is part of the 16th annual Mountain Chile Cha Cha. The Cha-Cha will be held rain or shine on Sept. 24 at Town Park.
This event is free and also features a music concert by New Mexico’s Str8 Shot, a Mexican beer garden, a margarita contest, green chile roasted and for sale and a kids’ corner.
