Members of the Vista Lake Park and community garden, alongside Healthy Archuleta, invite the greater community to come see the progress that has been made in preparation for the growing season ahead on April 7 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Community members from the Vista neighborhood and surrounding community have been meeting regularly to plan for a future community garden and park at 230 Port Ave., to be located behind the Pagosa Lakes Property Owners Association administrative building.

Save the date for a fun and family-friendly event and learn more about the opportunities to get involved with the community garden programming and upcoming events.

The evening’s activities will include: seed planting, rock painting, a scavenger hunt, drawings and healthy refreshments. You will also have the chance to weigh in on design and programming components and learn about opportunities within the community garden effort to increase your access to freshly grown local, affordable and nutritious foods.

Best of all, come meet and get to know the local leaders from the Vista neighborhood and around Pagosa who are committed to creating a community gathering space that is focused on food sustainability, nutrition security and education in Archuleta County.
