Curtains Up Pagosa

The inaugural February Follies put on by Curtains Up Pagosa was a smashing success with about 200 audience members present to watch the 25 acts compete for cash prizes.

Our judges, Mary Jo Coulehan, Kylie Ross and Sherry Phillips, decided first- and second-place winners. The audience also voted to name their People’s Choice Award.

Curtains Up would like to congratulate our winners of the February Follies.

In the music category, first place went to Katrina Thomas for her renditions of “This Place is Mine” from Maury Yeston’s “Phantom.” Second place was awarded to Regina Sikes and Raleigh Odenbach for their sisters’ rendition of “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You.”

People’s Choice was given to Lillian Buchner for a beautiful acoustic cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.” Our dance winners are first place, Penelope Peck doing a smashing version of “All That Jazz” from the Broadway musical “Chicago.” Second place was awarded to Sophie Martinez for her contemporary dance to “Electric Love.” And the People’s Choice Award went to the Pagosa Springs Dance Academy’s Jazz Small Group for their performance of “The Stray Cat Strut.”

Thank you again to all our performers of the evening and for all the community for supporting another successful event.
