The Christmas season is in full swing in Pagosa Springs, but it wouldn’t be complete without the Pagosa Springs Choral Society’s annual Christmas concerts.

The free-to-the-public concerts will be performed in the Pagosa Springs High School auditorium at 7 p.m. Dec. 3 and 4, with a final concert on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 5, at 4 p.m.

The annual concerts are a highlight of the Christmas season in our community and are a mix of both sacred and seasonal selections. The choir will present such selections as “Children Go Where I Send Thee,” “Joy To the World” and Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus.” Additionally, a select group of jazz singers will present “We Three Kings” and “Christmas Mem’ries.”

Dan Burch, Pagosa Springs High School music director, will direct the choir and Venita Burch will provide the piano accompaniment. A portion of the concert will be sung “In the Round” with the choir surrounding the audience for the a cappella selections of the program.

There is no charge for the concerts, but donations will be gratefully received to support scholarships for music students at Pagosa Springs High School. Everyone is welcome.
