Future Farmers of America and 4-H participants took part in the year’s Livestock Auction at the Archuleta County Fair on Friday evening. The grand champion steer went for a record-breaking $25 a pound. Weighing in at 1,100 pounds, the steer belonging to Colt Lewis netted $28,550 and was purchased by Bank of Colorado and DeVo Capital.
