Donelia, a joy to be around with an adventurous spirit, ready to journey to a new place. She lived an amazing life. She was able to visit the Vatican on her trip to Rome, traveled to the Bahamas and Mexico as well.

Donelia’s journey began in Pagosa Springs, Colo., born to Juan B. and Pablita Martinez, Jan. 29, 1932. She was the middle child, three older siblings and three younger siblings. Donelia made Henderson, Nev., her home in 1961, where she worked in the community and then retired from Clark County School District, retiring to Enterprise, Utah, then Cedar City, Utah, where she lived until her passing.

Donelia was a hardworking servant of God. Donelia’s transition to Heaven has united her with her mother and father; her siblings, Rosalie, Lorenzo, Lala and Clara; son Anthony; daughter Joyce; and husband Leslie Mullis.

Donelia lived in the hearts of her children. She is survived by her brothers, Jerry Martinez and Raymond Martinez; her sons, Tom, Michael, Abran and Larry; daughter Veronica; grandchildren and great-grandchildren she loved unconditionally.

Her beautiful life will be cherished. Donelia lived by the spirit and may her legacy live on both in her family and the lives she touched.

Mass will be at 5 p.m. on Oct. 4 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
