Special to The PREVIEW

People who are experiencing grief caused by the loss of any family member (child, parent, spouse, close relative) or of a special friend are encouraged to attend Grief Support meetings every Thursday afternoon throughout the month of July.

The final session is scheduled for Aug. 2. The meeting time is 4 to 5:30 p.m.

Meetings are held in the library at the Community United Methodist Church. The public is invited to participate in the free sessions, which are Christian-based, nondenominational meetings.

Each session is self-contained, so a person does not have to attend in sequence. People can come for one, several or all of the remaining sessions.

The church is located at 434 Lewis St. Interested persons can call the church office at 264-5508 for additional information. The Rev. Leighton Mekeal is pastor of the church.
