In February 2018, BP America Production Company (BP) will begin conducting routine inspections of its pipelines and other facilities in the San Juan Basin by aerial drone.
Currently, BP conducts these inspections annually by helicopter and on a regular basis by using foot patrols.
Drone technology will allow BP to inspect its pipelines, well sites and other facilities for leak detection and right of way management.
