Leroy R. Cotton passed away peacefully Sunday, July 9, at Four Corners Health Care Center. He was born in Pagosa Springs, Oct. 10, 1955.

Leroy’s life was spent outdoors where he loved to camp, hunt, fish, cut wood and spend time with family and friends. Leroy enjoyed life and lived on his own terms. He had many jobs, including working for the U.S. Forestry, Pagosa Mounted Rangers, ASA Umpire, wood cutter and mechanic, among others.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Amanda Stollsteimer, father Glenn W. Cotton, two brothers and two sisters. He is survived by wife Molly Cotton, son Fred Cotton, daughter Amy Cotton, granddaughters Pamela and Sky Cotton, grandson Mark Cotton-Archuleta, brothers, sister, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

A remembrance service was held in Pagosa Springs at Centerpoint Church on Saturday, July 15.
