Special to The PREVIEW

On March 23, the San Juan Stargazers will meet at the Visitor Center on Hot Spring Boulevard at 7 p.m. to continue their study of the Hubble images using the Great Courses video narrated by Professor David Meyer of Northwestern University.

The Hubble images are not just pretty pictures. Under Meyer’s tutelage, we will continue to find out what those images actually teach us about the universe we live in. The next two topics will be based on the images of the Sagittarius Star Cloud and the Star Factory inside the Eagle Nebula.

The San Juan Stargazers are part of the Astronomical League, which includes clubs from all over the U.S. We have a great website, www.SanJuanStargazers.com, as well as an email address, sjstargazers@gmail.com, and a club phone number, 335-8286, to help communicate with the public.

Meetings are usually the fourth Thursday of the month, but check The PREVIEW calendar for specific information about if, when and where the meeting will be held.
