Special to The SUN

United Way Ski and Save Day is Wednesday, Jan. 20, at Wolf Creek Ski Area.

Adult lift tickets are just $54. Save $11 and benefit local nonprofit organizations at the same time because Wolf Creek Ski Area donates $11 from every adult lift ticket sold to Archuleta County United Way. Discounts will also be available for seniors (65 and older), children (under 12) and on one-half-day tickets.

When you buy a discounted ticket on United Way Ski and Save Day, you will help United Way reach the 2015/2016 campaign goal of $61,000.These funds support the following local nonprofit agencies and programs that promote education, healthy lifestyles and self-reliance: Big Brothers Big Sisters, Girl Scouts of Colorado, Seeds of Learning, American Red Cross Southwest Colorado Chapter, San Juan Basin Area Agency on Aging, Archuleta County Victim Assistance Program, Habitat for Humanity of Archuleta County, Housing Solutions for the Southwest, Pagosa Outreach Connection, Southwest Conservation Corps, Volunteers of America and Axis Health System.

All funds raised in Archuleta County stay in Archuleta County, so enjoy the most snow in Colorado with United Way at Wolf Creek Ski Area while also benefiting our community.

For more information, contact Bill Hudgins, Archuleta County community engagement coordinator for United Way, at 946-1624 or billh@unitedway-swco.org.

Thank you and see you on the slopes.
