Special to The PREVIEW

This Saturday night at the “Jewels and Jeans” Barn Dance, there’ll be lots of spirited dancing to legit country-western dancing music played by the Country Thunder Band.

As with any real barn dance, there’ll be barbecue, soft drinks, beer, wine and mixed drinks to fuel the dancing, twirling couples.

The barn dance will be held at the Archuleta County Extension building located at the Fairgrounds on U.S. 84. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the music and dancing will begin at 7.

Pull on your Tony Lama boots and your Wrangler jeans, or dazzle us with your bobbles, bangles, Lucchese boots and high-fashion western jeans.
