Q: What are some ways I can make my home more energy efficient?

A: Homes being built today use new industry standards that call for more efficiency and the use of materials and designs that capture and conserve energy much better than older homes. However, owning an older home doesn’t mean you are left out of the trend towards more “green” living.

Experts advise that improving insulation and closing up air leaks are the most cost-effective ways to make a house more energy efficient.
