Downtown fire burns quarter acre

Pagosa Fire Protection District personnel are seeking information about a Sunday evening fire that occurred in the downtown area.

According to PFPD Wildland Coordinator John Gilbert, the fire, located at the end of Hermosa Street near the Cotton Hole on the San Juan River, was called in at about 8 p.m. Sunday evening, April 12.

The PFPD responded with four apparatus and seven personnel, and were assisted by personnel from the Pagosa Springs Police Department and Archuleta County Sheriff’s Office.
