We’ve come a long way from last March, when directors of the Pagosa Springs Community Development Corporation (CDC) made a presentation labeling several long-serving, dedicated citizens and public servants as being “barriers to progress.” Their public presentation led to accusations of racism and created a massive divide between local government and community leaders and the CDC.
In June, Ed Morlan, executive director for Region 9 Economic Development District of Southwest Colorado, stepped forward, taking the initiative to help reset and refocus our community’s economic development efforts.
