Additional arrests made in mini storage burglaries

Posted

Two additional burglary suspects have been arrested for their alleged involvement in a series of storage unit burglaries that occurred around New Year’s Eve.

Three suspects were arrested earlier this month for their alleged involvement in the same burglaries.

Authorities are still seeking several items that were stolen and later sold through a local thrift store.

According to Detective Sgt. Jacob Beach, Archuleta County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Alvin Schaaf responded to a call on Jan. 4 that 14 storage units were broken into at Mountain View Ministorage on U.S. 84.
