Water district moves to inclusion election for Log Park

Over 25 residents from the Log Park subdivision, located north of Pagosa Springs off U.S. 160, turned out last Thursday, July 17, to witness the decision of the Pagosa Area Water and Sanitation District (PAWSD) Board of Directors in regards to a petition for an inclusion election for their subdivision.

The Log Park Water Company (LPWC) approached PAWSD over a year ago requesting for properties served by LPWC to be considered for inclusion within the district. After prolonged review, and several discussions regarding inclusion fees and property-owners’ willingness to include, the PAWSD directors unanimously approved Thursday night to take one of the final steps — holding an inclusion election.
