In the past few weeks, Pagosa Springs has been visited by athletes on continental and global journeys: runners traveling 10,000 miles for peace, fraternity brothers biking across the nation to fundraise for Alzheimer’s disease research, veterans hiking the Continental Divide Trail through the Warrior Hike program and others.

This week, Pagosa is again a stop on a nationwide excursion — the Race Across America (RAAM), a 3,000-mile cross-country cycling race. Time Station 16 for RAAM will be located at Pagosa Boulevard and U.S. 160.

Cyclists are expected to begin arriving in town on Friday, June 13, and will continue passing through the area for several days, through Tuesday, June 17.
