The Pagosa Area Water and Sanitation District received several calls Wednesday with concerns regarding the quality of the drinking water within the PAWSD districts.
In response to those calls, PAWSD issued a statement stating, “While we always appreciate the phone calls, PAWSD wishes to assure its customers and visitors to the community that our water system is operating optimally and we have no reason to believe our water is not safe to drink. Routine sampling for bacteria was completed on June 3, 2014 and the results were negative. If you would like a copy of the results or have questions, please don’t hesitate to call the PAWSD administrative office.”
