If you were born on or after Jan. 1, 1949, you are required to have a hunter safety card before you can purchase a hunting license.
Youth hunter education classes are being offered March 17, 19, 21 and 22. Adults classes will be held March 24, 26, 28 and 29. Times will be 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Saturdays classes will be 8 a.m. until noon. Students must attend each session. Classes will be held at the Ross Aragon Community Center in the south conference room at 451 Hot Springs Blvd. (next to the Town Hall). There is no charge.
Students 17 and under should attend the youth class. Students 18 and older should attend the adult class.
Students should register online prior to the class by going to wildlife.state.co.us/hunting and clicking on “Hunter Education,” then clicking on “find a course at a place and time to fit your schedule” at the top of the page and simply follow the directions.
Please note that the range day for both classes will be held on Saturday, March 29. Youth class students should be finished no later than noon on range day.
