Labor Day traffic is just now hitting the roads, but five accidents took place in the Town of Pagosa Springs over a four-day period beginning last weekend, with four of those accidents resulting in alcohol-related arrest charges.
The recent rash of accidents began at about 8:10 p.m. on Aug. 23, when Pagosa Springs Police Department Officer Brooks Brown was notified of a possible intoxicated driver on the road near the intersection of U.S. 160 and U.S. 84, said Det. Scott Maxwell of the PSPD.
