In light of recent events surrounding the proposed development of Reservoir Hill, a task force comprised of one Pagosa Springs town council member and several concerned citizens has formed to explore a way to move forward and begin the healing process by focusing on a new project.
“If we go back to 2007,” Parelli CEO Mark Weiler began, “I was vociferously opposed to creating the rec center, because at that time I could not identify a funding vehicle that allowed the town to do that and still shoulder all of its other responsibilities. The world has changed. The town had the wisdom to invest in the creation of a conceptual plan and a site plan.
