Students and staff from the Colorado School of Mines, after spending two weeks conducting geophysical studies in a variety of locations, finished their Field Camp in Pagosa Springs by giving a presentation to the general public on May 23 at the Extension Building.

“They are going to give their quick, preliminary summary,” CSM professor Mike Batzle explained as the students set up their projector, “the purpose being threefold: One, just to communicate what they have been doing here for two weeks, and they don’t have a lot of answers now because they haven’t processed all of the data yet, two is just to let everyone know that we are trying to be as informative as possible, and three is to make sure they get off their butts and do some stuff,” Batzle laughed.
