Members of the Pagosa Area Water and Sanitation District (PAWSD) board are reviewing and changing the current PAWSD Leak Rate Policy.
The request came after Cynda Green petitioned that her PAWSD water bill and third tier water charges of $11.20 for every 1,000 gallons of water used (or lost), due to an unintentional leak at her cabin, be waived. Green said she did not think it fair to be charged the highest tier rate structure for water she did not intentionally use.
