UUs to discuss shared values

Posted

Unitarian Universalism is a covenantal faith tradition which is based in shared values. The Pagosa Unitarian Universalist (UU) Fellowship offers each individual support in our unique spiritual path and an opportunity to participate in positive social and environmental action. We welcome diversity and invite everyone to share in our faith community.

I have recently returned to the fellowship in the role as community engagement coordinator, and am excited to be working in this capacity to help envision a future of growth and spiritual engagement for members, friends and those interested in its mission. Having worked in UU congregations with a focus on transitional ministry and life-span religious education positions, I bring a vision of theme-based services and small group ministry to the Pagosa UU Fellowship.

This Sunday we will share together what our shared values are, and center it in our mission, which in part, states: “It is the mission of the Pagosa Unitarian Universalist Fellowship to grow as a diverse community with differing beliefs and shared values. We seek to encourage spiritual growth and strive for compassion, justice and responsible action in our society and on our planet ...”

As a start to a new vision, with the theme of “Make Friends, Do Good, Grow Your Spirit,” we will get curious about what the future holds for the fellowship, circle up and imagine what it means to be a part of this community’s interdependent web.

The fellowship’s in-person services are normally on the first and third Sundays of the month at 10:30 a.m.

Find us in Unit B-15 of the Greenbriar Plaza 301 N. Pagosa Blvd. on the north side facing the Pagosa Peak. Joining us through our offered Zoom services is also an option using the following meeting link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/8991941305.
