USA Track and Field Colorado Association Junior Olympic Championships
Abigail Nehring throws discus at the USA Track and Field Colorado Association Junior Olympic Championships in Aurora last weekend. Nehring took gold at the event with a distance of 130 feet, 2 inches (39.68 meters). She will advance to the Region 10 finals July 11-14. Nehring also competed in shot put, logging a distance of 28-05 (8.66 meters) to finish fifth. Nehring competes with the Triple Crown Track Club.

Colton Lucero sprints at the USA Track and Field Colorado Association Junior Olympic Championships in Aurora last weekend. Lucero “ran great races” three weeks post surgery, according to Karri McCarter, head coach of the Triple Crown Track Club, including running his fourth best time ever in the 100-meter dash. Lucero finished 14th in the event with a time of 11.28 seconds. He finished 11th in the 200-meter run with a time of 23.46 seconds. He finished 10th in the long jump with a distance of 19 feet, 2.5 inches (5.85 meters).

Creede Dozier looks to gain distance during a jump at the USA Track and Field Colorado Association Junior Olympic Championships in Aurora last weekend. Dozier earned bronze medals in both the high jump (6 feet, 0.75 inches or 1.85 meters) and long jump (20 feet, 8 inches or 6.30 meters) to advance to the Region 10 finals July 11-14. Dozier also competed in the triple jump, finishing ninth with a distance of 40 feet (12.19 meters). Dozier competes with the Triple Crown Track Club.
