A temporary flight restriction (TFR) has been issued for Pagosa Springs and the surrounding areas, effective from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day through Nov. 1.
A TFR is a temporary rule that limits aircraft from flying in a specific area. The Federal Aviation Administration establishes TFRs to help protect people, property and aircraft during certain activities or emergencies.
This TFR will help protect the airspace around helicopters and other aircraft assisting in the flood response by reducing air traffic that could interfere with emergency operations.
Please note the TFR also applies to drones. If you fly, we can’t.
