We are thrilled to announce the engagement of Trevor Peterson, son of Pete Peterson and Betsy Carpino, to Ruth Regan.
Trevor, a native of Pagosa Springs, graduated from Pagosa Springs High School in 2002 and is a veteran of the Iraqi Freedom War. He holds a Bachelor of Science in environmental science from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colo., and currently serves as a wildland firefighter with the local Forest Service.
Ruth, originally from Chicago, Ill., grew up in Wauconda, Ill. She earned her Bachelor of Science in early childhood education and music from Millikin University in Decatur, Ill. Ruth is the proud owner of Cherry Creek Nanny Agency and also teaches private piano lessons. The couple will exchange vows in Pagosa Springs on Oct. 12, 2024, and look forward to making Pagosa their home.
