PUBLIC NOTICE AND NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Pagosa Springs Community Development Corporation (PSCDC) plans to submit a Housing Development Grant Fund (HDG) application to the State of Colorado, Department of Local Affairs. HDG provides funds for acquisition, rehabilitation and new construction through a competitive application process to improve, preserve or expand the supply of affordable housing, to finance foreclosure prevention activities in Colorado, and to fund the acquisition of housing and economic data necessary to advise the State Housing Board on local housing conditions.
The application being considered would request up to $1,000,000 for the Chris Mountain II Workforce Housing Project. It is estimated that approximately 100% of the funds would benefit low and moderate-income persons. Permanent involuntary displacement of neighborhood persons or businesses is not anticipated. Should it later become necessary to consider such displacement, alternatives will be examined to minimize the displacement. If no feasible alternatives exist, required/reasonable benefits will be provided to those displaced to mitigate adverse effects and hardships. Any low- and moderate-income housing which is demolished or converted will be replaced.
In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, individuals needing special accommodations (including auxiliary communicative aids and services) during these hearings should notify Emily Lashbrooke in person at 46 Eaton Drive, Suite 4, Pagosa Springs, CO 81147 or by mail at PO Box 1183, Pagosa Springs, CO 81147 or by email at Emily@pagosaspringscdc.org a minimum of 3 days prior to a scheduled hearing so that appropriate aids can be made available.
Please contact Emily Lashbrooke in person at 46 Eaton Drive, Suite 4, Pagosa Springs, CO 81147 or by mail at PO Box 1183, Pagosa Springs, CO 81147 or Emily@pagosaspringscdc.org to request a public hearing for citizen views and questions related to:

Community development and housing needs, including the needs for low- and moderate-income persons, as well as other needs in the community that might be addressed through the HDG program; and
The performance of the PSCDC in carrying out its community development responsibilities; and
Potential historical effects.
A copy of the application(s) as submitted to the State will be available for public review at 46 Eaton Drive, Suite 4, Pagosa Springs, CO 81147.
Written comments are also welcome and must be received by June 15, 2024, in writing to PO Box 1183, Pagosa Springs, CO 81147 or Emily@pagosaspringscdc.org. Oral and written comments will be considered in deciding whether to submit an application for the proposed project.
