The Pagosa Fire Protection District (PFPD) partnered with the Town of Pagosa Springs to complete debris pile burning on Nov. 30. Pile contents consisted of brush, tree limbs and other nonhazardous wood products from fire mitigation projects in town right of way access. PFPD remained on scene all day to provide water and ensure safe burning conditions. The site will be monitored for several additional days by both PFPD staff and town staff.
