Perseids Meteor Shower Viewing. 7-8:30 p.m., Chimney Rock National Monument. Drive to the upper-mesa parking lot to designated areas for optimum viewing of the annual Perseids meteor showers. Bring a chair, cushion or blanket to sit or lie down outside your car. Members of the San Juan Stargazers astronomy club and Chimney Rock Interpretive Association will be on hand to enhance this event. One ticket will be issued per car for $5.
