Pagosa Springs resident and mother Angel Salter Weaver has placed in the top 10 in the Face of Horror Contest.
The winner gets a photo shoot with Kane Hodder (the actor who played Jason Voorhees) at the iconic Woodbury House, a movie shoot location best known for the movie “American Horror Story.” The photoshoot will be featured in Rue Morgue Magazine.
Best of all, she’d win the $13,000 first prize. Salter (Weaver) came back to Pagosa Springs two years ago from Georgia as a medical refugee in order to help her disabled son benefit from the use of medical cannabis oil to stop his seizures.
She said her hope is to win the money to help pay for his medicines and cover his special medical needs. Her husband is also a disabled U.S. Marine Corps combat veteran and she plans to help him with the $13,000 if she wins also.
